The Marie-Luce-Labossière pavilion was created thanks to the legacy of this Montrealer who had been treated in Saint-Hyacinthe by Dr. Gilles Cuirot. Between her treatments, Ms. Labossière stayed with the Sisters of Charity, at the Marguerite-d'Youville residence, where the idea of creating an accommodation resource for people suffering from cancer like her germinated. Upon the death of Ms. Labossière, his dream became reality thanks to the involvement of the religious community, the Denis-Chartier Foundation and the precious help of Ms. Olivette Beauregard, first general director of the Marie-Luce-Labossière pavilion. the Sisters of Charity have transferred Maison Marie-Luce-Labossière to the Denis-Chartier Foundation. A new direction for the residence will now be known as Résidence Marie-Luce-Labossière | Excelcare Group.
