Maison des aînés (MDA)
The Black Lake Seniors’ Home relocates the 28 residents of the Lac-Noir CHSLD and adds eight additional spaces. The three-storey building contains 72 rooms in total, 36 for seniors and 36 for adults with special needs. It is divided into six living units of 12 spaces each. This home accommodates seniors who are losing their autonomy as well as adults with physical or intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders.

Hello, Maison des aînés and CHSLDs indeed offer similar levels of care. The main difference lies in the environment. Unlike the CHSLD housing model, MDAs are made up of small households that include 12 individual rooms. Kind regards!
